Does the library have textbooks?
Some, but not all. A professor may place an item in the course reserves, which is located at the Circulation Desk in the Golden Student Success Center. We also have a specific Textbook Reserves, which is located behind the Circulation Desk; check to make sure it matches the book in your syllabus as materials may change from instructor to instructor and semester to semester.
Either of these two locations are for checkout for only three hours.
Answer
While the library does have select textbooks on reserve, we are no longer purchasing textbooks. Professors can place a personal copy on reserve for students to use. Students are encouraged to contact their professors to make sure that they have placed course material on reserve for them to access. Additionally, this material is not course specific, rather it is determined by each professor each semester.
